- Once installed, activate the theme to begin customising your store.
Step 2: Access the Woo Store Customiser #
Once both WooCommerce and LSX Design are set up, you can start customising your store using the Woo Store Customiser. The Woo Store Customiser allows you to visually adjust various elements of your store, from product page layouts to checkout flows, all within the familiar WordPress interface.
To access the Woo Store Customiser:
- Go to WooCommerce > Home
- Click on the “Start customizing” or the “Customize your store” button.
- You’ll be taken to the “Customize Your Store” screen, where you can customize your active theme, select a professionally designed theme, or create a new look using our store designer.
- Once you select a theme or click on “Start Designing”, you will be taken to the Pattern Assembler to customize your store design, where you can personalize fonts, colors, layouts, and more.
- For more details on using the Woo Store Customiser, refer to the WooCommerce Customiser Guide.
Step 3: Configure Your Store Settings #
Once you’re inside the Woo Store Customiser, you’ll have access to various tools to control the layout and design of your store. Here’s what you can expect:
- Shop Layout: Choose how your products are displayed on your main shop page. LSX Design gives you the ability to customise the number of products per row, control product image sizes, and adjust pagination settings.
- Product Pages: Customise how individual products are displayed. With LSX Design, you can adjust the product image gallery, change the product description layout, and control how product meta information (like categories and tags) is displayed.
- Cart & Checkout: LSX Design fully supports the new Cart and Checkout Blocks, but it also retains compatibility with classic PHP templates. This allows users to switch between the block-based customisation or continue using traditional templates for checkout, particularly if certain WooCommerce extensions require them.
- Global Styles: Define your store’s overall design using global styles. This includes typography settings, button styles, and colour schemes. LSX Design Theme allows you to apply consistent branding across all store pages, making sure everything aligns with your business identity.
Step 4: Experiment with Blocks and Patterns #
The LSX Design Theme makes use of WordPress’s block editor, allowing you to easily customise your WooCommerce store using blocks and patterns. Blocks are individual elements (such as product grids, featured products, and reviews) that you can drag and drop into place. LSX Design also comes with pre-designed patterns that speed up the process of adding common store elements like call-to-action sections and product showcases.
- For more details on WooCommerce store customisation using blocks, refer to the official guide: Customize Your WooCommerce Store.
Step 5: Save and Preview Your Customisations #
Once you’ve made the desired changes, click Publish in the top right corner of the customiser to save your customisations. Always preview your store before making it live to ensure that everything displays correctly on different devices.
