Release Notes: LSX Design System v1.6

The LSX Design System just took a big leap forward! The new LSX Design System v1.6 aligns every colour swatch, spacing token, and text style with the design language WordPress ships in its new default theme, Twenty Twenty-Five (WordPress 6.7) and the broader WordPress naming conventions. That means your designs now speak WordPress natively.

Highlights

  • WordPress-Native Palette – A slimmed-down set of Accent 1-6 hues, plus Accent 6 at 33 % opacity of Contrast for subtle overlays.
  • New Token Collections – Dedicated Spacing and Typography token collections, each with min/max “clamp” modes for responsive magic.
  • Modern Layout Vocabulary – Collections renamed (e.g. Layout, Foundation and System colours) to mirror WP 2025 terminology.
  • Typography Refresh – Font sizes, line-heights, and families remapped to the latest WP scale; Sub-headings now Medium / Large / Extra Large.
  • Button Overhaul – Only three purposeful variants remain—CTA, Fill, Outline—with a slick rising-hover on CTAs.
  • Cleaner Libraries & Style Guide – Patterns, Template Parts, and Templates reordered and clearly labelled; the Style Guide fully restyled.
  • Token-Driven Prototypes – Every frame now pulls colour, type, and spacing straight from variables, ensuring variable changes reflect accurately in each prototype.
